The standard PTE Academic exam fee is USD 210 globally. PTE Core (designed for Canadian immigration) is priced similarly at around USD 200–215, depending on the booking date.

PTE Academic UKVI Exam Fee

If you need PTE for a UK visa, you must take the PTE Academic UKVI version. This carries a slightly higher fee — around USD 220–235 — due to UK Home Office compliance requirements.

PTE Home A1, A2, and B1 Exam Fees

PTE Home tests are used for UK family/spouse visas. Fees range from USD 150 to USD 180 depending on the level (A1, A2, or B1).

Pearson charges in USD, but as a Bangladeshi student, you pay in BDT. At the current exchange rate (approximately BDT 110–115 per USD), the PTE Academic fee translates to roughly BDT 23,100–24,150.

💱 Exchange Rate Fluctuation

The BDT-USD rate changes daily. If the taka weakens between booking and payment, your cost increases. Always check the live rate on your bank’s app before booking.

🏦 VAT and International Transaction Charges

Some Bangladeshi banks add a 2.5–5% international transaction fee on top of the converted amount. That’s an extra BDT 600–1,200 on a standard PTE Academic booking.

💹 Bank Conversion Charges

On top of transaction fees, banks apply their own conversion markup — typically 1–2% above the mid-market rate. Combined, you could pay BDT 1,500–2,500 more than the base fee.

🚫 PTE No-Show Policy
